My university experience was really great. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the university quickly adapted to the situation and switched orientation and instruction for new graduate students to an online format. As a result, we had to quickly adapt to our new learning environment and learn valuable skills in discipline and time management for self-study.
One of the features of SUSS is its focus on addressing Community Engagement (CE), which is an integral part of the degree requirements. I was privileged to be the project co-leader of Project Colors, a volunteer team established in partnership with Rainbow Center Singapore, a school for children with special needs. This role allowed me to act as the primary liaison between the SUSS Student Volunteers and the Rainbow Center and allowed me to develop my communication and project management skills through hands-on experience.
Additionally, I had the opportunity to join the SUSS Social Entrepreneurship Society, an advocacy group focused on encouraging student interest in starting a social business. This platform has provided me with invaluable connections with experienced industry experts who have provided invaluable feedback and guidance on my own startup projects.
Her SUSS influence in my learning process was truly transformative. I look forward to continuing to improve my skills and making the most of her next four meaningful years as a student here.

Unlocking Your Potential in an Unpredictable World
To describe my experience with SUSS as “moving” would be an understatement. SUSS has played a key role in shaping my overall outlook on life and has made it a special institution.
At SUSS, we participate in a number of core modules dealing with the social sciences. These modules broadened my horizons to important new social and ethical issues and allowed me to see the world in a different light. Due to its academic rigor and subject matter diversity, SUSS is an ideal environment for those who value exploring interdisciplinary perspectives. Before studying at SUSS, I never realized the importance of flexibility in my learning path.
Here you have the opportunity to choose between online and offline courses depending on your personal schedule and preferences. This flexibility has been invaluable to me and I can’t imagine restricting myself to a fixed schedule. The flipped classroom approach and interactive seminars further enhanced my self-study skills, allowing me to validate and extend my knowledge across different subjects. This gave me more confidence and motivation.
I also really appreciate the supportive environment at SUSS. Our professors are dedicated to our learning and constantly challenge and inspire our thinking. They encourage us to go beyond curricular boundaries and provide in-depth guidance and guidance throughout academic work.
In summary, my time at SUSS was an insightful experience. College provided me with a foundation for growth and gave me the skills and knowledge I needed to succeed in the future.
