Global Unity Scholarship overview
British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) offers the One World International Scholarship as part of its International Scholarships Program. This scholarship is designed to support students who intend to pursue a portion of their higher education course or related work experience outside of North America. The scholarship provides him financial assistance ranging from $2,000 to $5,000.
To be eligible for one world International Scholarships, applicants must meet several criteria. You must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Refugee of Congress, or a Protected Resident of Canada. In addition, you must be a resident of British Columbia and have had your primary residence in the province for at least 12 consecutive months before enrolling full-time in an eligible program.
Applicants are expected to demonstrate excellent academic performance and demonstrate strong involvement in the community and school. This must be evidenced by her two references submitted with the application.
This scholarship is available to students enrolled in a full-time, minimum one-year academic program at a public higher education institution in British Columbia. You must also be admitted to the eligible international program outside of Canada or the United States.
Applicants must combine their international experience with educational or career goals. Please note that those who have planned international experience in their country of origin within the last 5 years are not eligible for the scholarship. Previous recipients of one world International Scholarships or Premiers International Scholarships are also not eligible.
Scholarship recipients must begin their international experience within 12 months of receiving the scholarship. Through financial support, One World International Scholarships encourage BCIT students to gain valuable international experience and develop their skills and knowledge in a global context.
