Foothills Scholarship overview
Boise State University Scholarships are available to outstanding international students who have achieved academic success and are committed to university success. These scholarships cover the non-resident portion of tuition fees for incoming freshmen, or students transferring to Boise State University.
The main eligibility criteria for these scholarships are:
Only freshmen are eligible for Foothills, Ridgeline, or Summit scholarships. Eligibility is determined based on admission documents received by the scholarship deadline. A complete application includes an application for admission and a certificate. Certain majors such as Nursing, Pre-Nursing, Radiology, Pre-Radiation Science, Alternative Fee Programs, and Fully Online Programs are not eligible for these scholarships (subject to change).
Scholarship recipients must be enrolled as full-time students (12 credits) each semester (fall and spring) and be responsible for the remainder of their residency and foreigner costs. Recipients must earn at least 12 credits each semester and complete a total of 24 credits (fall and spring semesters combined). Repeated courses within the same grade will not count toward her 24 credits required for scholarship renewal.
Applicants must be recent enrolled students at Boise State University to pursue a full-time bachelor’s degree. Transfer students must have a college GPA between 3.20 and 3.49. Freshman must have her GPA in high school between 3.20 and 3.49 (unweighted).
Foothills Scholarship advantage
The scholarship is donated US$2,000 annually and will last for a total of four years, including eight semesters.
